The city that was the first in the nation to hold a cathartic welcome home parade for Vietnam War veterans would do the same for the elite Navy SEALs team that took out Osama bin Laden under a plan floated Wednesday by five influential aldermen.
Ald. James Balcer (11th), the Vietnam War veteran who has championed veterans issues in the City Council, is pushing for the ticker-tape parade to honor the military in general and the Navy SEALs Team Six credited with executing bin Laden in particular.
Balcer was joined by Aldermen George Cardenas (12th); Edward M. Burke (14th); Ariel Reboyras (30th), and Ray Suarez (31st).

The reports from the DC Insider and others (that the CIA and military did an end-run around Obama and the whole Chicago coterie) match up with the body language in the situation room photo -- much more than any of the twenty or so renditions of the story coming from Obama and his media supporters since.
This whole PR stunt the WH tried to pull today was a disaster. They had to ratchet it back to a wreath laying after Bush and Clinton said no way to this vulgarity. Even after screening the 911 families to make sure they had a friendly crowd, Burlingame came out of it and exposed it as a sham to the media.
Add that to the constant lies coming out of the WH on what actually happened on Sunday. No one has a straight answer. As extra fun, water boarding has conclusively been proven successful and the left is on the run now with no coherent argument why it is bad. Now we find out the famous PR photo from the Situation Room was a total fake.
This whole episode is going totally sideways on the Regime when you know they were all banking on it as a total win. Even the bump in the polls was weak. Obummer is doomed.

Yesterday I read (twice) that DC Insider account and found it very compelling. Do you suppose it comes from the Clintons? They were fond of leaking things to the press during their reign and there is certainly animosity between the camps. My current 2012 prediction: Obama will raise a lot of money leading up to the DNC in 2012. Then some excuse will be made as to why he can’t run (the Parkinson’s, no doubt) and Hillary will become the nominee. This deal was worked out in June 2008 during their secret rendezvous (one report is here:
http://www.americanfreepress.net/html/obama_secret_ties.html). Disclaimer: I admit I am a Bilderberger of sorts! Would love to hear your (and others) thoughts! I just think that Bill and Hillary are the keys to a lot of things we will never know about in our lifetime.
