Uh, is this really a secret? I am not saying that this woman deserved the torment she received; however, rape/beatings/abuse of women in Muslim countries isn’t Top Secret. Just a thought.
When Lara Logan traveled to Egypt to cover the Tahrir Square protests, she was unaware that she was going to be working in a country where sexual harassment rates of women and especially foreign women are so high as to be universal.
She most likely knew that sexual harassment was high in Egypt,but to say that it approaches nearly universal harassment I think it pretty hard to believe...unless you experience it....
How can she “unaware” when she is a “journolist”? The number one skill in Journo school is research. I guess everything through the eyes of a liberal, everything is rainbows and rabbits.
You are right. It is not a secret at all to anyone with eyes to see and a functioning brain. But it is a truth that liberals will never accept, no matter the mountains of overwhelming evidence. The reality of a rape culture that is alive and well within Islam is invisible to them. It is impossible for them to see because they have first bought into the mantra that “Islam is the religion of peace”. Thus the denial that there is any danger at all for a blond American non-Muslim reporter to go into a Muslim war zone. Despite being raped by Muslim men, Lara Logan still doesn't see the truth.
I’m guessing if Lara Logan had any qualms about going to Egypt, they were “poo-pood” by liberal superiors in their comfy offices at CBS. Lara also had to prove that she could cover any assignment the “boys” could cover, otherwise her career would be jeopardized.
