‘Sluts’ rally vs. sexism
The Boston Herald ^ | May 8, 2011 | Marie Szaniszlo

It’s not every day that you see women circling Boston Common in the midafternoon wearing only micro minis and bras.

So when the “Boston Slutwalk” wound its way from Government Center to the Common yesterday, chanting, “However we dress, wherever we go, yes means yes, and no means no,” heads turned, but there weren’t many catcalls.

But then, you don’t mess with 200 “sluts” on a mission.

I don’t understand. We went thru the whole feminist manifesto thing where women didn’t shave, didn’t use makeup, dressed essentially like an Amish woman because they didn’t want to appeal to men. Now it’s just the opposite. They dress like streetwalkers, use every ancient means of attracting men and when they get the attention they sought, they become screaming harpies.

Be a slut. I don’t care. Just don’t bitch about it. Why does every minority/victim group demand my approval?

Where was the warning “graphic ugliness”?

“If you take out uncovered meat and place it outside on the street, or in the garden or in the park, or in the backyard without a cover, and the cats come and eat it ... whose fault is it, the cats or the uncovered meat?

“The uncovered meat is the problem.”

There are a lot of people that look for excuses to hurt other people. They don’t care if “she deserved it” or not. All they want is for someone else to believe “she deserved it”.

Now that picture depicts what is meant by “ditsy broad” in every sense of the phrase. Men should be seriously offended, I am FOR them. These women purport that ONLY MEN should have morals and act responsibly. They place all the responsibility for that on men. And yet again, demean men as the only source of shame.

Perhaps, he should not have used the word. BUT, he is right. Mothers these days are dressing their little girls that way, and it’s just wrong. You should be offended as a man, as this is yet another slam against your gender.

You are right on that score, of course. My comment were in regard to these street walkers (protesters)

Is there anything at all which proves that women wearing skimpy clothing are raped more often than women dressed modestly?

If we are including the group "I got drunk and now regret sleeping with a stranger so I'm calling it rape" in the statistics, I think the stats are misleading.

Looks more like the message is advertising pays and it is damn near impossible to rape the willing.
When you act aggressive and develop buyers remorse over what you brought home and failed to call you the next morning then slut not victim comes to mind.

Back in university, the EASIEST girlfriends I had were liberals. Hands down.

Usually I love when a woman poses a challenge to me but these lowlifes made my nights “easier”. The ones who attracted me the most were the Republican girls. More lady-like and “sane” to converse with. Harder to get to bed with but I enjoyed the challenge.

The "She was asking for it!" argument is just a defense attorney invention. It also gives certain activists an excuse to get attention.

I discovered in my youth that some women may have been asking for it, just not from me. :-)

There will always be one that dresses the sluttiest. There will always be people who disapprove. There will always be those who enjoy hurting others and will recognize those we disapprove of as opportunities.

Simple question: why are they “rallying” in Boston if it was a Toronto police officer who made the comment they did not like?

I assume he found out when he ripped them off her, but I was not there; thus I do not know.
