I remember a lot of FReeper comments a couple of months ago saying a piecemeal dismantling of Obamacare was a mistake.
So West's position here is not automatically an anti-conservative position. I don't know if I agree with it, but maybe we could drop the knee-jerk reactions and debate our opinions of its merits or lack thereof?

That would be nice, but I expect plenty more to follow.
I don’t agree with West’s decision on face value, but I trust him no less than the greatest Conservative in politics today.
West may also be mistaken about the logistics of tackling the multitude of problems created by the Marxists that surround us all. It would be good to challenge his decisions instead of condemning the man.
That would require thought, dirt....
I agree with you. If we go at it in a piecemeal way it makes it appear as though only certain parts are unfavorable. This is not a good idea.
I want the whole thing gone. All of it.
It’s far easier to say “he’s a RINO; toss him.”
Even before hearing the explanation, I assumed that Allen West—anyone who’s ever heard of him knows is a rock-ribbed conservative who wants to repeal Obamacare—opposed the partial-defunding bill because he doesn’t believe in a piecemeal approach to repealing Obamacare. Reasonable minds may disagree on which is the best strategy for stopping Obamacare before it goes into effect, but there is nothing reasonable or intelligent about spending less than 5 seconds thinking about something and calling a conservative patriot like Allen West traitor or a RINO (and saying that he supports Obamacare is certainly the same calling him one of those two pejoratives).
