Pow!
I can’t listen, but a quick question. What would you recommend for someone who loves to shoot every weekend but wants to save money- getting a .22 conversion upper assembly for an his AR or getting something like the Mossberg Tactical .22 and saving the wear and tear on his AR?

Tough call. For $275 you could get the mossburg tactical
The .22 conversions are neat but they are about $150 bucks and they aren’t going to be as accurate.
The .22 conversion is unlikely to wear out your AR.
Gee, I dont know what to tell ya.
Hey! that looks like that pistol that Tom is going to give to ME LoL
Not if I get it first!
The best conversion kits I’ve found were closer to $400- to put it in perspective, I spend more than that on most weeks plinking. My concern is constantly changing out the upper assembly. Something like the Mossberg is rankly disposable but like buying anything cheap, I want a second opinion.
Either way, I can’t keep spending hundreds each week on ammo just for fun.
I’m leaning toward the mossburg tactical.
But I have never handled one
$800.00 bucks retail, and worth every penny I’ll bet!
I cant say what the quality of the Mossberg tactical is.
When I was talking conversion I was speaking of like the ciener conversion

$800?!!!
Tom told me that I’ll get it FREE!
That’s very slick. I’ve never seen that. I like.
Kitchen Table Gunsmithing Range Report
Attempted to buy a magnifier for my EOTech cheaply on Amazon, $65. The “Made In China” 3X was fine but the 3/4” ring was much too short. It appears the tallest rings you can buy are 1” and those still looks too low for the optic center. I measure the optic center around 1 3/4”. Do I need to buy a flat top riser? It seams EOTech has on purpose made the optic center above anything other than custom rings.
The alternative is buying a EOTech magnifier with mount for the low low price around $500+. I have found an EOTech Clone but have read it has had some problems.
Thoughts? Or especially do you know of rings that will fit a 30mm magnifier compatible with EOTech?
I fell into a good deal.
My buddy has 2 M1 carbine. One is a GM made WW2 issue and the other is a Civilian made with a sliding stock.
At first he was going to sell me the WW2 Carbine for 225.00. It needs some work{ a pin that hold the bolt back popped out. I think it is 5.00 part and I can do the install myself} and three 30 round mags.
Last weekend he said he would sell me both of them, plus 8 30 mags and 500 rounds of ammo for 325.00.
I am going to scoop up these puppies.
They aint hot. He ran afoul of the IRS and needs the cash.
what does everyone think?

I would worry about jamming because you are using rimmed ammunition. However my 10/22 Ruger has never jammed. Shirley you could Google and find forum discussions that may help.
Its not as accurate as it could be because you launch a .22 down the barrel of your .223.
But its a cheap option.
