Why Not Just Let Osama Prove He’s Alive?
NY Magazine ^

Posted on 05/08/2011 11:00:22 PM PDT by Jim 726

According to ABC News, Secretary of Defense Robert Gates and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton are both against releasing the "gruesome" photo of Osama bin Laden, and President Obama is "increasingly doubtful that there's a compelling" reason to do so. While The Wall Street Journal reports today that "many Pakistanis, Afghans and Arabs refus[e] to believe U.S. assurances that al Qaeda's founder is actually dead," an unnamed official tells ABC that "[t]he only skeptics are extremists and they wouldn't be convinced by a photograph anyway." At the same time, the photo could serve as "a rallying cry for attacks against US soldiers, government personnel, and Americans in general."

Perhaps, then, instead of shouldering the risks of trying to prove that bin Laden is dead, the White House should shift the burden of proof to bin Laden. Presumably, if bin Laden was still alive, he'd want everyone to know. So let him proclaim his continued existence to the world.

You know as much as I would personally like to yap on the internet all day long about OBL being alive, kept hidden away forever and being interrogated, that the raid was set up to make it appear as though OBL was killed with fake blood soft bullets and that the burial at sea was fake using a body double I have to keep in mind it would be safer for Americans if the Moslem would did believe OBL was truly dead and buried at sea.

But of course Mr. Super Rooster has to crow he was the leader and brains that killed OBL is also just another part of the play.

I meant “Moslem world” that we should let them think OBL is dead, but on the other hand, what if Moslems were completely convinced that OBL was indeed alive and kept as a prisoner?

I can logically see all the right reasons for the incessant 24/7 propaganda BS of the MSM shoving “The death of OBL” down our throats in the last week.

But I for one am totally sick and tired of it.

No way!
It’s common knowledge he is at Area 51, just across Groom Lake from ET.

Suddenly, everyone loves Osama bin Laden - the most prolific mass murderer in history.

He's not even in the top 100.

Yes, you’re right - I was thinking, ‘Most prolific mass murderer in US history.’ I should have been more specific.
