I will take even Gov. Johnson over Obummer at this point. At least he will legalize pot and I can stay nice and baked through his administration.
If the guy has the balls to run for POTUS with a haircut like that, he has more guts than Obummer.

I firmly believe that if the GOP took over the WH and both houses of congress they would not overturn obamacare. Nor would they balance the budget. Apparently I’m not the only one who feels this way.

I feel the same way and funny thing is, a very liberal friend of mine said to me that we need a good third party candidate because neither party is going to fix America's economic problems. I am not advocating a third party candidate, but I also don't see a GOP candidate that will appeal to enough Republicans and Independents to get BO out of office. It is not a matter of IF America will crash, it is when and neither party is going to stop it. Too many stupid voters is the problem and that stupidity transcends party lines.

I told my wife last night that all both parties are doing is trying to postpone the total collapse of this nation as opposed to trying to fix what’s wrong.

Until the G.O.P. finally rids itself of Bush/Rockefeller type Liberals controlling the policies I'm afraid you're right.

Yes, the game of postpone, or kick the can. I know I will get slammed, but if conservatives don't put the economy at the top of their list, we will go down and it will be during Obama’s second term. Thus, my friends comment about a third party. She beleives, as do I, things are critical and if the economy doesn't get fixed, nothing else will matter. I do not believe the economy will get fixed.....heavy sigh.

Nor would they deal with the influx of immigrants, etc. You are correct, you are not the only one who holds those beliefs. The Republicans are just a different sort of liar, compared with the Democrats. None of the people who are sent to Washington have an interest in reducing the size of the federal government. They are there to get MORE power, not less.

The tax code is designed for one thing and one thing only. To punish the rich and pay off the poor. If that was all they wanted they could do it with a simple tax code with a high tax rate on incomes above a certain level. No, the primary purpose of our tax code is so the Congressmen can sell bits of it for campaign contributions and outright bribes. If it were as simple as "How much did you make? Now look that up on the chart to find your taxes" then there would be almost nothing for Congress to sell.

Better an Obama second term than Romney.
I’d rather have the Marxist you know than the RINO you don’t know.
If Romney runs I just won’t vote.
And many are like me. Can you hear me out there potential Romney donors? Word to the wise.

A better strategy is to "help" some liberal third parties get on the ballot and draw off some single issue voters, like the "greens." Ralph Nader skimmed off just enough votes from Al Gore to allow President Bush to win Florida in 2000. If even 1% of Nader's voters had instead voted for Gore he would have been elected in 2000.

I think your concern is a risk but I'm convinced that we do not have to accept that outcome. The responsibility for failure in our political system ultimately falls on the voters. It's up to us to communicate what we want done in Washington.
To: Starboard
It’s very transparent. Does he not know we KNOW what the house can do? Or not do, in this case.

The primary purposes of the tax code are to manipulate our culture, solicit campaign contributions, and buy votes. They could collect taxes with a much much simpler tax code.
And, you won't fix it with a 'Flat Tax' or 'Fair Tax'. When our rulers finished the 'code' for those taxes, it would probably be worse than what we have now.
Our problem is the politicians in D.C. are acting like rulers instead of servants.
To: SeekAndFind
I wonder why. Maybe its because the GOP has caved on everything.
