(CNSNews.com) Anticipating the elimination of the military ban on homosexuality, the Office of the Chief of Navy Chaplains has decided that same-sex couples in the Navy will be able to get married in Navy chapels, and that Navy chaplains will be allowed to perform the ceremonies -- if homosexual marriage is legal in the state where the unions are to be performed.
The advisory came in the form of an April 13 memo issued to all chaplains, in which the Chief of Navy Chaplains, Admiral Michael Tidd, said the Chaplain Corps was revising its Tier I training manuals, which had previously indicated that same-sex marriages are not authorized on federal property.
Instead, Tidd called for chaplains to comply with service-wide efforts underway to be more accepting of homosexuality and same-sex marriage as the end of the military policy on homosexuality nears.

When I was young and in Regan's Navy we didn't know any better and used a simple acronym that relived our frustrations and confounded the "lifers". Now I know better, and it's more appropriate than ever...

chaplains will be allowed
to perform the ceremonies I don't see a directive that all chaplains will be required to perform these abominations, at least not yet.

what about overseas locations?
this is not the end game of the LGBT agenda. a “religious ceremony” is not what they’re after... it is all about getting dependent benefits ( something the DOD cannot afford) and using the DOD to get gay marriage to the supremes and declare it unconstitutional for a military dependent to be denied benefits because their state doesn’t have gay marriage....thus forcing all states to allow gay marriage..
looking more like Sodom and Gomorrah every day... just have to remember not to look back

Gunnery Sergeant Hartman: Did your parents have any children that lived?
Private Gomer Pyle: Sir, yes, sir.
Gunnery Sergeant Hartman: I bet they regret that. You're so ugly you can be a modern art master piece! What's your name fat body?
Private Gomer Pyle: Sir, Leonard Lawrence, sir.
Gunnery Sergeant Hartman: Lawrence? Lawrence what... of Arabia?
Private Gomer Pyle: Sir, no, sir.
Gunnery Sergeant Hartman: That name sounds like royalty. Are you royalty?
Private Gomer Pyle: Sir, no, sir.
Gunnery Sergeant Hartman: Do you suck d!cks?
Private Gomer Pyle: Sir, no, sir.
Gunnery Sergeant Hartman: Bullsh!t. I bet you could suck a golf ball through a garden hose.
Private Gomer Pyle: Sir, no, sir.
Gunnery Sergeant Hartman: I don't like the name Lawrence, only f@gg#ts and sailors are called Lawrence. From now on you're Gomer Pyle.
Private Gomer Pyle: Sir, yes, sir.

I don't see a directive that all chaplains will be required to perform these abominations, at least not yet. Oh, that'll be right after a Chaplain with a pair tells some queer seaman to take a hike - and said queer runs to the base JAG whining and crying and sniveling that the awful Chaplain won't marry him and his shipwife.
Waah!

I never thought I’d be glad my parents had died until:
1) the Episcopal church ordained gays and Raymond Burr was outed. Then I was glad that my mother hadn’t lived long enough to see that.
2) the Navy allowed 2 men to marry. Glad my dad didn’t have to see that.
Isn’t it sad that we live in a time when we are glad people we loved died before they saw what was important to them had become.

Give ‘em time. The sodomites won’t be happy until chaplains are required to perform “marriage” ceremonies for them. They will get their way eventually, when they pitch enough hissy fits to their buddies in Washington.
