The dimrats have uses that fear tactic on the elderly.
“Republicans will cut off your social security”.
Over time, the older folks have figured out that is just plain BS. So now the rats are putting out threats that the repubs will cut off payments to their other larger voter base. I think that is why the rats blew the lid off of spending from ‘07 to ‘10. Put the spending into law and dare the repubs to recind it. Puts the monkey on the repubs back. But if the spending isn’t cut back, the checks will stop anyway.
The dims have put our country in a position where a situation like Greece will happen. The only variable is when. Difference is that here, the ruling class and their media will be on the side of the rioters.

As Tony Coelho (sp) said in response to a question about how the national Democrat party was going to campaign for the presidency back in the 80's: "We're gonna find the fear button and lean on it as hard as we can."
