onsider this doomsday scenario:

Catastrophic impacts felt by every American.

A broad range of government payments stopped, limited, or delayed, including military salaries, Social Security, and Medicare payments, interest on debt, unemployment benefits, and tax refunds.

Sharply higher interest rates and borrowing costs, declining home values, and reduced retirement savings for Americans.

In sum, a financial crisis more severe than the crisis from which we are only now starting to recover...

And unfortunately, it is going to take exactly that before most people begin to get it.

Does anyone else think: why the hell do I have to watch the country I love turn into the mess it has become? And I ask this as a veteran, a guy that is trying to retire peacefully. But finding I am back supporting kids and family to the point, when you add tax in, it’s starting to get tough. If I were younger I’d be stirring up things more. But I don’t see even the younger generation able to fight this crap. Too many of them get sucked into the kulturesmog of liberalism. They don’t know the bad guys in Hollywood, so watch them in movies. Etc. Etc. Etc. Life is becoming a slow and agonizing process.

I’m with you; I think if everyone does a little something, and a few people do a lot of something, we will win this thing

But what many people don’t realize is that the United States now owes very substantial sums to a total of 31 different sovereign nations, two confederations, and one territory.

Sure, but how much do other countried owe us?

Hate to say it but go ahead and let the economy hit rock bottom. Maybe then people will wake up. Naw, most never will wake up and take responsibility.

Hey, we don’t have enough money o go around - and we have those billions we have to send to “puakistan” and the PLO and now to the muzzie brotherhood in Egypt - and the millions per day helping the al Queada rebels in Lybia...you can't expect to have enough for Seniors, who have pre-paid since age 15 for Social Security and STILL pay for Medicare, to be paid.

There's not enough to go around. And we have that 2 billion we promised Brazil (and Soros) so’s THEY can drill in the Gulf.

It's Redistribution Time. Get with the program.

I think you're taking the optimistic view.

I hear you, brother. Just because I only served on active duty for 6 years, I feel that when I took the oath to “defend the Constitution, against ALL enemies, foreign and DOMESTIC”, the obligation of that oath didn’t end 20+ years ago.

But what is a person to do. I try to stay informed. I write letters to the editor. I engage whomever I can in civil discourse about the wrong direction of this country. I pay my taxes. I provide a steady income for my family. I volunteer in various capacities as time allows, but all of that doesn’t really seem to do much.

The most important thing I think a person can do is take care of their own family and be prepared, as best as one can be for the worst. If choas is around the corner, I’m fairly well prepared to protect and provide for my family and help other similar thinking individuals to survive as well.

Most importantly though, imo, is pray to God for strength and guidance.

I don’t see the government ever stopping welfare payments, food stamps, SS. They can print as many dollars as they want.

Your average working J6P can watch his benefits drop to zero, have his hours cut, face enumerable new fees and rates and whatever, watch his 401(K) evaporate, all of that can and will happen.
And he will not be happy to see hefty mommas wearing Lardache jeans at the supermarket buying stuff with whatever false credit-card looking thingy food stamp card they can dream up.

The deal is it’s not J6P’s from Kansas who owns a handgun or two, maybe a deer rifle who are the most threat to DC.

It’s 60-70-90 million people who every month wait for the mailman.

They won’t be pleased if the teat dries up.
