I just don’t get people coming onto FR in the year 2011 and arguing in favor of the nanny state. It was bad enough dealing with these ding dongs back in 2000 but now, with the Nation staring into a fiscal abyss, why do we have to work so hard to convince self-described “conservatives” that having the government do for people what our Founders assumed would be done privately is the essential source of the worst existential crisis America has ever faced?
