It is the feds responsibility to secure our borders. Perry’s request is appropriate. If Texas has to go it alone we might as well secede. Jan Brewer also asks for help and gets nothing.
Sounds to me like taking credit and political advantage of the work of a previous Congress.
B.O. doesn’t care what Americans want. He isn’t there to serve America, he’s there to make America serve him. That’s simply the truth. When he makes “unhelpful” (to borrow language he might use against conservatives) comments like that, he’s only appealing to hispanics, and more specifically Aztlan inclined hispanics. He’s trying to whip them up, divide the country into “us vs. them,” and turn out his base. The welfare of the country just isn’t a consideration.
He probably thought the Rio Grande was in the 57th state of Puerto Rico.
How about Texas and Arizona secede together? Oklahoma can come too..... not sure about New Mexico.... who’s team are they on?

Perry has not stepped up to the plate. The hand full of guard soldiers he sent to the border a couple of years ago was nothing more than smoke a mirrors.
They primarily were tasked with clerical type duties.
Yet Perry gave the impression he was tough on border security.
Rainy day fund for teachers??? How bout a couple billion for border security and immigration enforcement.
Fewer illegals, less crime, decreased social welfare handed out...smaller state budget.

How would you have him pay to defend sovereign U.S. territory? We’re already knee deep in spending money we don’t have providing free medical care and education to hundreds of thousands of illegals (which the feds require). The feds need to step up to the plate.
Sounds good to me. Sometimes I think a move to Oklahoma would be a good thing. I just lost my hook ‘em privileges, lol.
