But Christopher Linder can't serve
Updated: Tuesday, 10 May 2011, 7:29 PM MDT
PHOENIX - He is a convicted felon, found guilty here in Arizona for his part in a drive-by shooting and drug charges.
**SNIP**
Fortunately, Oklahoma law prevents convicted felons from taking office, so Tuesday, he asked for a pardon.
Christopher Linder admits he's made poor choices, but says he's a changed man. He would have made history if the pardon was granted...but the board said he's not ready.
By a four to one vote, a state board decided not to recommend a pardon for Christopher Linder.
He needed the pardon to become the first black mayor of Pawnee, Oklahoma, Linder was elected mayor in April, but he won't be able to serve.

But he can be President..................
You have to wait until AFTER you’re elected to start committing felonies. Idiot!/sarcasm
Good bye America!
‘Twould appear that the only diff between this felon and the Obamaloon is the “convicted” part.
Faked birth certificate, use of someone else’s SSN, illegal “czars”, etc.
Heck, I’d take the felon.
Addition - it just came to mind that this convicted felon has a much more distinguished record of accomplishment than the brain dead idiot currently sleazing up the White House.
Is that what you heard in the interview?
Gee....I never would have guessed he was black if the article hadn’t mentioned it. And anybody wanna BET he won’t wind up in office?? Laws don’t matter to the left and you can BET this guy ain’t no Reagan conservative.
And Eric Holder will lend a hand to “one of his people” in 5...4...3.....

Maybe he is trying to be like former District of Criminals mayor, Marion Barry.
