Where were teachers like this when I was in school? The females were all at least 60 with the surface texture of a prune and bulges in all the wrong places. You wouldn’t hit them with someone else’s 10 foot pole!

You're not alone in remembering them as being mostly older women.

I'm guessing that back then teaching was something educated women did after their kids were grown, as a way to bring in extra money in their retirement years.

Thinking back 30 years to when I was in HS, I can think of only one teacher who was young and attractive. And she was a long term sub for another teacher who went on sabbatical to complete an administration certificate.

While at 17 years old none of these women were considered appealing. Now that I’m reaching the half century mark, my tastes in what constitutes an attractive female have changed and this one looks pretty good in a photograph.

But, like instant mashed potatoes it may look good at a distance, yet when you get a taste of them you realize that there isn’t a whole lot of substance or flavor.
