Iranian Intelligence Minister Heydar Moslehi claims that Osama Bin Laden died from an illness before the US raid on his compound in Abbottabad. Iran has documents to prove it, he said.

"We have credible information that Bin Laden died some time ago of a disease," Moslehi said on the sidelines of a cabinet meeting on Sunday, as quoted by ISNA news agency.

Wouldn’t surprise me in the least. Sorry to say that a part of me would love for them to release irrefutable proof and let the scum in the WH try to spin their way out of it.

You're going to believe the Iranians?

When it's the iranians or the lying scum in the White House it's really a toss up...isn't it?

Well, they should know because *they* have been safehousing the bin Laden family for years, and also Zawahiri who pops in and out of Iran like a frikkin jack-in-the-box whener the fancy takes him, and Gadahn who mostly stays put.

So, yes, they knew bin Laden was dead. Back in 2005.

There was this Iranian, Heydar
Who claimed Osama was on his radar.
But he’s gone, it was said
A “disease” knocked him dead-
Perhaps we should fire up the Gaydar?

The Iranian government is every bit as credible as the U.S. government.

Let that sink in for a while.

> Why do I believe Iran more than our own government?

You lack a rational thought process, would be my guess. It is quite withing the realm of probability for the wrong person (Obama) to do the right thing (order a hit on Osama) on occasion. It is quite far outside the realm of probability for the Iranian mullahs to tell the truth when it doesn’t serve to advance their own interests.

In short, Obama’s an a-hole but he’s OUR a-hole.

Obama isn’t my A-hole (and he’s not my President, either)

If so, who was the unfortunate ones in the house?

The evidence suggests Pakistan's ISI hired or forced a Bin Laden double to live in the house. There were a lot of political benefits to both sides in pretending Bin Laden was still alive. Until Obama whacked the guy to change the subject away from the birth certificate. Nobody in the global intelligence community ever imagined a US President would risk military lives on such a cheap political act. Bush could have done the same thing in Fall, 2008 and probably helped McCain beat Obama - but he didn't.

And if Obama goes up 5 points because of it, big freakin’ deal.

I agree. Obama's approval will soon be sinking into the abyss along with the economy. Americans will vote with their wallets not on Bin Laden's death. Most Americans that is.

Didn’t Zawahiri inadvertently let the cat out of the bag a few years back? There was widespread speculation about that.

The “unfortunate ones in the house” are the dead witnesses that cannot testify to anything. All loose ends neatly tied up. Nothing to see here, folks.

Not as such but if they can produce credible documentation then lets look it over. I mean trusting the Iranians is no more a stretch than trusting Jug Ears. In fact he’s not given any proof whatsoever has he?

it’s like choosing whether to believe something in the globe or the new york times.

Actually the Globe is the Times. The NYT company has owned the Boston Globe for years and the New England edition of the Times is printed on the same presses.

And the Herald is far superior to both
