Just one of the random pieces of information I remember from the long-ago days when the Discovery Channel actually ran ‘science’ programming and the History Channel was about ‘history’...

sigh...

“That would have been my luck......stock markets, sales, lotteries, earthquakes.......watch what I do and then do the opposite.”

Ya. Know what you mean. I am guilty of the same. Hopefully, this one is not indicative of something else coming.

Keep us posted on your stock market decisions, please. ;-)

” only three channels on the snowy b & w tv screen “

Oh, yes, I remember it well — how the snowiness varied according to who was sitting where in the room....

(Earliest memory - watching Howdy Doody on a tiny oval screen...)

Wow. I was in Lorca (fortress ruins) as a tourist last October. There are many loading bearing, stone wall structures in and around Lorca. This is very sad.

Sad, indeed. May God keep His hand upon them.

Will someone with a prayer ping list please get this moving around?

This is a relatively minor earthquake. That said, magnitude 5+ earthquakes have been on the rise in recent years especially for 2011.

The below just in the last few days:

http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/recenteqsww/Quakes/quakes_big.php

A chart I put together using data from USGS. The column for 2011 is projected based on the number of 5+ earthquakes in the first quarter of this year. I would expect a significant drop in the number projected for 2011 but I am starting to wonder about it!

Bendandi made a general prediction for several days in May 2011. A location was not picked. The institute where his papers were saved after being thrown in a fire, states that a city was not named and a there were about 5 days involved. She thinks that the 11th was focussed on because it has been associated with so many tragedies. Mussolini actually asked him to stop making predictions as they were terrifying the citizens.

But, These were his past predictions:

Jan 13, 1915, earthquake Fruili
Jan 2, 1923, Le Marshe, was off by 2 days
Sep 22, 1931, Euro-Asiatic border, that America would feel repercussions
May 6, 1975, Mursica City

(there are others as well)
