Christ’s influence even today is unbelievable:

The disemboweling of others seems to be a Nigerian national pastime. In 1975, one of the members of the then ruling junta was himself the target of a coup by some junior officers. General Muhammad Murtala met with the cabal at the airport in Lagos (which today bears his name). He was disemboweled, according to lore, and was still alive when the local stray dogs fed on his innards. At least that’s what I was told.
