Ron Paul wouldn't have approved Osama bin Laden operation

By: Juana Summers May 12, 2011 07:27 AM EDT

Ron Paul says he would not have authorized the mission that led to the death of Osama bin Laden, and that President Barack Obama should have worked with the Pakistani government instead of authorizing a raid.

"I think things could have been done somewhat differently," Paul said this week. "I would suggest the way they got Khalid [Sheikh] Mohammed. We went and cooperated with Pakistan. They arrested him, actually, and turned him over to us, and he's been in prison. Why can't we work with the government?"

Asked by WHO Radio's Simon Conway whether he would have given the go-ahead to kill bin Laden if it meant entering another country, Paul shot back that it "absolutely was not necessary."

"I don't think it was necessary, no. It absolutely was not necessary," Paul said during his Tuesday comments.

There is a libertarian streak in most of us Cons, but where we part ways with the true “believers” is on National Defense and Security.

Ain't that the Truth! :)

“Ron Paul might be able to save the economy, but what good would it do us? His position on defense would eventually leave us all dead!”

Yes, and as my former tagline read - if I had to choose, “I’d rather be alive and bankrupt than dead and solvent”.

At this point..........there is no possibility for Newt, Huck, Willard or anyone else. Let's get real.

Palin/West. Unbeatable.

Let’s see. Obama has NATO writing the rules of engagement for Afghanistan and Iraq. That means,Americans are doing all of the dying and none of the military strategy. And it means no shooting until you’ve been shot at first. He won’t allow weapons on MILITARY Bases, that’s why the Ft Hood shooter could take out so many people, because the enemy got to shoot first and there was no way to shoot back!

Obama lets a secret helicopter design go to china, so china can build technology equivalent to ours without any intellectual or physical investment in the development.

Obama uses the military to train the military in Afghanistan, and then they turn around and kill the troops that trained them!

Obama is cutting every military budget and soldiers rely on their families and foundations like the yellow ribbon foundation to get them items they need after they are deployed.

Obama is gutting our national defense and destroying the morale and effectiveness of our military through executive order.

What you are saying about candidates opposing the Obama doctrine is patently absurd! The destruction of our defense capabilities will be completed by Obama. You clearly support him, and are projecting Obama’s destructive goals to make false unprovable accusations about everyone else, its very clear.

Ron Paul is reminding more and more of Charlie Sheen.

Duh! Winning

Bihldeburger Group...so says the Paulhroid I work with. I tried ridiculing him asking him if they also influenced the French Revolution, and he said yes. They are so irrational that they are the most hardline dead-enders I have ever argued with. If Ron Paul were a decent person, he would resign immediately out of embarrassment for the lunatics and lunacy he inspires.
