According to Islam, everyone is inherently a Muslim. There are no "converts," you simply revert to the faith you were born with.

Yup, and what's more he's a murtad fitri (a "born" Muslim who apostacizes), given even less of a chance to return to Islam before being executed for apostacy than is the case with a murtad milli (a convert to Islam who apostacizes). Unless, of course, despite protestations to the contrary and the sneers of the MSM at those who question his "Christianity", he really is a Muslim.
