CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. (NewsCore) - Defense Secretary Robert Gates said Thursday that Obama administration officials had initially agreed no details of the US Navy SEALs' raid on Usama bin Laden's Pakistan hideout would be made public, but that those plans "all fell apart."
"Frankly, a week ago Sunday, in the Situation Room, we all agreed that we would not release any operational details from the effort to take out bin Laden," Gates said at a town hall with Marines at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina, according to FOX News Channel. "That all fell apart on Monday -- the next day."

Gates had been asked by a Marine what measures the Obama administration was taking to protect the lives and identities of the SEALs who took part in the raid and of all US forces to thwart potential retaliation following the terror chief's death.
The defense secretary said the team who carried out the operation had expressed "concern" about security, "particularly with respect to their families."
Gates said there has been a "consistent and effective effort to protect the identities of those who participated in the raid" and said officials "are looking at what measures can be taken to pump up the security," FOX reported.
For the sake of history, we need to know who these SEALs were, but not now. Perhaps 50 years from now. These operators will need to be memorialized.

Nope. We should never know who they were. It may be generations but Muslim Terrorists are STILL exacting revenge for events from a thousand years ago. The Muslims 1,000 years in the future would RELISH cleaning out the bloodline of the man who shot Bin Laden.

The Obama Administration had nothing to do with this raid, other than saying “Go” and then jumping up a down screaming “We’re not celebrating!!!”
The only thing they are good at doing is screwing things up. They can do that really well.
Now, whats the likely hood the seals will want some sort of contract for their safety before they are willing to go on the next mission?
We have seals and other covert/undercover groups for a damn reason. Zero should protect them just as much as his original unaltered LFBC.
Unforgivable blabbing endangering soldiers is the calling card for Obama boosting Obama. A weak Commander in Chief commands NO confidence when glaringly incompetent to master secrecy in his administration and the military. Under threat of firing squad the blabbers might have been more inclined to swallow their tongue before they revealed the details they freely threw around. Positively scary for troops to have these boobs anywhere near special operations.

Lefties would publish the list of every Navy Seal member on that team in the NYT if they had it.
The news said not even the President would be told which Navy Seal pulled the trigger on Bin Laden; of course not: Obama would turn him in to his attorney general to press charges.

I’d call for an investigation into who leaked the details. But Obama said more than I thought he should have.
The President of the United States should have simply announced, “Today American forces killed Osama Bin Laden in Pakistan. We have confimed he’s dead. His body has been buried in the ocean. Good night and God Bless.”
Instead, he got up there, “I....on my orders....me.....my....I....”

I feel like it is absurd to think no Muzzie sympathizer has access to the info on those Navy Seals.(well, I know Obama is a security hazard)

The White House Insider might just be a guessing game...but it sure looks like there are factions deep in the bowels of the WH that are at war with each other.
