Lemongrass oil didn’t stop an infection I got from a cut on the inside of my lip!Doxycycline did the trick.

Did you use therapeutic lemongrass oil? And if so, from which company? I've used therapeutic lavender oil on inside mouth cuts with remarkable results. But the oils you'd get at the health food store most likely would not be therapeutic. I've never used Doxycycline before ... but I looked up the side effects and the list is plentiful, whereas lavender oil has none. Of course, if it doesn't work, that would be considered a pretty serious side effect.:)
