Obama's "Common" Associations
The American Thinker Blog ^ | May 13, 2011 | E.W. Jackson, Sr

While Michelle Obama may have only recently found a reason to be proud of her country, she has long been proud of rapper Common. Mrs. Obama and her husband do not want to celebrate the National Day of Prayer in the White House, and the latter "forgot" to do a Presidential Proclamation on Easter -- but having Common in the White House is a priority.

This president -- and apparently his wife, as well -- does not understand or relate to the views of average Americans. Most of us read Common's lyrics and cannot fathom why the president would allow this person to be feted in the People's House. The Chief Executive should be a unifying leader for the American people. Why would he embrace such a vile and divisive figure? Here are some lyrics of the recent White House guest (from the song "Some S*** I Wrote):

"Like a n***** in position with the stolen card the credit F*** flipping the script, the rap scene I'm trying to edit"

"That's why cats be like "F*** you, f*** you, f*** you!" Other studs come through to see what I am up to"

"My foundation is in a black block of n****** that rock they hat cock"

That is a sampling of Common's musings about something other than defending cop-killers and assassinating President Bush. It is unlikely that he used these at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

I wonder if Mrs. Obama is tired of being First Lady so she invited this common fellow to the White House as part of an ongoing effort to insure her husband loses the election in 2012.

As is true with other issues, the liberals dare anybody to say anything. And if they do, they are called racist, bigoted, don’t understand all the good this rapper has done in the black community, etc.

The liberal view is we need to be tolerant and accepting of rap. If anybody says anything, it’s because they are racist, or conservative.

You obviously don’t understand. If they keep up their attack on “Whitey” and a large majority of whites then vote against them, that will be “racist” don’t you see? It’s not like when 90 some percent of the blacks vote against the white guy, doncha know?

With all the truly great Black Entertainers out there, they’ve told us more about “Themselves” than they realize
by having selected such a “COMMON” one!!

Yup. Birds of a feather.

Nothing to be concerned about mind you, its just the black street persons norm.

Its also just the language of illiterate, uneducated drug traders who have no respect for societal norms. Nothing like aspiring to a greater, better future and espousing healthy societal norms!

Current peers to the first lady...er,,,,, first hoe that is.

That’s our White House! Always on the leading edge!

My man, let me tell as a former liberal the moment you get in their face when they start that sh!t and give it right back to them they shut up quick. I used to love to mouth off about how ‘’evil America’’ was until someone told me, “Pick a better country a-hole’’. Shut me up I’ll tell you.

Since Common is such a hit, I wonder how he would do on the “Cowboy Poetry Circuit,” especially the festival in Elko, NV, that Dingy Harry is so proud of?

I don’t know what kind of crowd those shindigs attract but I would truly love to see the reaction of a genuine cowboy audience to Common’s “cop killer” ditties.

Might even be worth subsidizing the festival for a day.

(Could be just yuppies go to those things but I have to believe there would be enough “singing cowboys” and aficionados of Western culture present to make things interesting.)

That’s just it.

Where Moochelle comes from, that kind of “musical” fare IS “common.” It’s what you hear everywhere in those places, as anyone who has ever stopped at an inner-city stoplight can attest.

I wouldn’t doubt for a minute that the typical background music in the 0’s living quarters is gangsta rap that not even Common would perform.

Mooch is what she is. Ghetto skank. And Hussein aspired to become what she always was and he seems to have succeeded.
