Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer wasn't laughing when President Obama stood at the U.S.-Mexico border Tuesday and joked that Republican lawmakers who won't support a sweeping overhaul of the immigration system until the border is secured won't be happy until they get a moat with alligators along the border.
"I think he should get back to business being the president of the United States," Brewer told Fox News on Saturday.
"I don't think his comic attitude and laughing at a serious issue is being very well received, certainly not here in Arizona, I would imagine not across America," she said. "This is a serious situation. And for him to go to a pep rally and make light of the situation is unbelievable."
In a new video created by the Arizona Republican Party and posted to YouTube, Brewer tells Obama to stop the jokes, do his job and secure the border.
The video notes that Brewer invited Obama to visit the Arizona border nearly a year ago, but he declined.
In his speech on Tuesday, Obama boasted of increasing border patrol agents, nearing completion of a border fence, and screening more cargo.
But the video says the U.S. Border Patrol controls only 44 percent of the border with Mexico – only 15 percent of that right on the border, according to the Government Accountability Office.
The video also notes that Mexican drug cartels are operating in more than 230 U.S. cities, according to the State Department, and points out that Border Patrol agent Brian Terry was killed in December by an armed group of illegal immigrants.

I would love to see the MSM call out Obama on all this Saul Alinsky stuff.
I have never heard the MSM discuss the impact Saul Alinsky had on Obama.
This business of ridicule of opponents is right out of Saul Alinsky’s playbook. So now, Obama is saying that, if you don’t support his plan on illegals, then you want a moat at the border, a moat with alligators.
That is such a ridiculous comment that it shouldn’t be digified with a response. Yet, this comment was made by our president. Since the liberals and MSM won’t call out Obama on this absurdity, the Republicans are in a position saying that they oppose a moat with alligators. This is such horse blank, yet this is what our politics has devolved to.
Imagine reactions if Bush had said something similar. Compare the reactions to gaffes and misstatements of Republicans/conservatives, to those of good Democrats. I think there is definitely a pattern there. Obama is setting the agenda on illegals that, if you oppose him, you want alligators in a moat. If he’s not challenged, that becomes the narrative.
His jokes are always in poor taste. He’s like the goofy person you were always trying to avoid in high school...a total moron.
I bet the families of the two border patrol agents killed this week think 0bambi’s joke was just hysterical!

Well said. Ridicule and mocking of anyone who doesn’t agree with him are standard procedure. He’s like an adolescent and will never be any different, there’s something wrong with his wiring.
In my lifetime I’ve never seen a president pull these type childish things. If there had been anyone but The Won pull this the enemedia would have been all over them but he can do no wrong in their eyes.
Exactly, the family and friends of the two agents killed are not laughing at The Won’s poor taste.
I was not happy she vetoed that bill either. Illegals in our country is more than a political issue between the Gov. of Arizona and Obama. It's a national security issue in more ways than just one.

I agree. But one of the main reasons we even have the problem with illegals is rinos like her. She messed with the bull and got the horns. Good for her. Now she has lost the support of the tea party completely.
Dear Governor Brewer,
If you really wish to redeem yourself and gain the support of We The People again, you only need to do 2 things:
1. Immediately Have EVERY BATF EMPLOYEE operating in the State Immediately Arrested for Conspiracy To Commit Murder, See Brian Terry, Remanded without bail and upon conviction promptly executed. Under the Felony Murder Rules, the entire organization is GUILTY.
2. Immediately arrest, detain and disarm EVERY FEDERAL EMPLOYEE in the STATE and release them at the Border in the middle of the Protected Drug Smuggling Zone. After all it is perfectly safe according to Obama.
After Federal Employees are systematically thinned out by the Protected Drug Smugglers in their own Protected Drug Smuggling corridor, things might change.
