Not only has the MSM not mentioned his “Willie Horton” problem, neither have the GOP Establishment types. No, the latter do not like Huck, they also hate him, mostly due to his social conservatise stances. But, they’ll work with the MSM to puff him up, in order to blunt a potential Palin run, and thus protect whatever golden-boy they’ve decided to pitch in with.
The moment Huck becomes of no use to them, out comes all the stories of clemencies/murders, document shreddings, tuitions for illegals, the son’s animal torturing, etc. He’ll be shredded to pieces. That’s why it would be rather stupid of Huck to fall into this. But yeah, he’s probably that stupid.
[Many friends have said, “how can we help you in the decision?”]
I was going to send him some Big Macs.
HUCKABEE HINT: 'IT'S GOING TO GET EVEN CRAZIER'...
Can the Huck-a-nut get any nuttier?
oh please...not AGAIN!!!
Huckabee can’t get any crazier. He’s already a seasoned, uncontrollable liar. If you find Jesus, even after mass murder, Huck will forgive you no matter what, and let you go out and repeat or escalate your crimes. he’s gonna need to lie about the next gastric bypass if he is running. Maybe he can write a Liar’s Book about how he did it all by watching his diet again. Maybe he can even buy some puppy mill puppies for his sons to crush in the campaign bus.
I could say that I will give him a fair hearing; but I cannot. I have a visceral rejection reaction when I hear his voice - no TV here, so I seldom see his picture.
He comes across to me as trying just a bit too hard and it translates as phoniness.
If he does run, the mountain we have to climb to defeat a sitting President gets taller and more rugged. Don’t do it Mike. Find someone who can win and get behind him/her.
This is what Palin was waiting for. She did not want to get in until Huckabee committed one way or another. She can beat him, but Palin wanted him to blink first.
Now the field is much clearer for her.
Best,
Chris
With two exceptions. There's a very motivated, angry Conservative base and there's a major force now versus then in the Tea Party.
I maintain that if Huck does run, it furthers the potential rise of a major Third Party in 2012, a Party who could draw support from both the Tea Party and Republican Conservatives.
I think there are enough people like me who are sick of the Establishment choices. If there is a Third (Tea Party) Party, choices would be Left Wing, Left Wing Lite and Traditional Conservative. Unlike the past, given the place our Country finds itself, I'd like our chances.
“Ill go out on the limb on this one: hes NOT running”
I’ll climb out there with you because I heard Huck is building a multi million dollar dream house in FL and he can’t afford it if he gives up the TV show. I think he needs the money too much.
The house thing is true (he is building it), but does anyone know how much he's making at Fox News? Maybe he's making enough to pay the mortgage ahead a few years, thinking that if he wins, he makes $800k/year for a few years and then cashes in as an ex-president, and if he loses he just goes back to Fox or finds another high-paying gig?
Just a thought. I'm hoping he doesn't run.
POTUS makes $400,000/year.
$500,000
YAWN. WHO CARES?
Mark Halperin is doing nothing but speculating. Personally I just wait and see until his announcement this evening
I THINK I KNOW :-)
I have a VERY, VERY, strong suspicion what is going on tonight:
(1) HUCK is NOT Running......but
(2) HUCK is going to introduce SOMEONE that is either already in the race or will announce on his program that they are entering the race AND
(3) HUCK will Endorse that person
We obviously know that person is NOT running. Possibilities:
(1) Endorse Newt (would have to have a spiritual connection or conversation between the two of them. Doubt it since Newt joined the RCC.
(2) Mitch Daniels Announcement (Seems HIGHLY possible to shore up the social conservative weakness
(3) Sarah Palin (I can dream, can’t I)
I’m calling that Mitch or Pawlenty will be on tonight, make his announcement, and the Huckster will Endorse him. Call me crazy. I already have called myself that. Huck thinks his endorsement means something and he can pick up ratings. Brilliant TV move.
oops, sorry, I meant to say that “we obviously know that person is not Romney” sorry for the confusion
You're right; for some reason I thought it had gone up to $800k.
You have a brilliant thought. Huck is broke and can’t raise money....... so I’ve read.
Who will he endorse? I guess Cain. Fox is involved. Cain made his first announcement on Cavuto. Cain might be Roger Ailes’ man
