Roark recalls thinking that, if N.S.A. officials were breaking the law, she was going to fry them. She soon learned that she was practically alone in her outrage. Very few congressional leaders had been briefed on the program, and some were apparently going along with it, even if they had reservations.
That's our representatives, folks.
