Afghan law likely to end lavish weddings

In Afghanistan, wedding celebrations are a unique opportunity for people to show their hospitality.

But the size and scale of the events has prompted the government to consider a new law aimed at curbing the extravagant feasts that weddings often become - especially given the level of unemployment and poverty in the country.

Officials and other tribal leaders now want to limit the number of guests, as well as the items on the menu, which would instead be drawn up by the municipal authority.

THE government WANTS TO CONTROL EVERYTHING... EVEN THE FOOD ON THE TABLE! Meanwhile obammy eats $200.00 an ounce beef wagu and sips $350.00 per bottle Dom and smokes Jamaica’s best and toots a bit of Peru... but no Steak and Fries for you!

Something similar to what is going on in America maybe? As the average duration of a marriage approaches fifteen minutes weddings become more and more spectacular as if a huge wedding would make up for the lack of commitment.

The only thing that government should limit are the AK-wielding morons who fire off a 1,000 rounds, drawing fire on themselves.

Now, I would agree with that.
