We need to get rid of the “tax the rich” talking point. Taxing the rich is taxing wealth, and we don’t do that. (other than houses, boats maybe). They are talking about taxing high income. A billionaire can sit on his money and pay no tax that year.

Those who want the tax rates to rise should lead the way and voluntarily pay 10% of their gross assets to the US gov't each year.

I agree and with all the ammo about why this won't work, it is beyond me as to why there is no effort to "get rid of the talking point". Actually it is not beyond me. Taxing the rich is a way for both parties to kick the can further. Sooooo will any potential candidate say something? All I hear are crickets.
