You must have a much closer view of Perry than I do, because to me he just “backed off” from those things when he was told NO!

A true Conservative would never have tried to push those things or defend those things in the first place.

The fact that so many of the things he tried to push involved companies that hired his buddies makes it all that more despicable. It reminds me so much of the way the Democrats used to run Texas all the way up through the late 1980s.

I hear what you are saying and I haven't picked a candidate because all the choices aren't out there. I will say, if it is Perry v. obama, Perry will get my vote. I will NOT EVER vote for a 3rd party no matter how dismal the Republican candidate might be. Ross Perot is still sitting grinning in the back of my mind. I had relatives who voted for him and tried to convince us that he was the one. I am thankful that we didn't fall for that hoaxster!
