Hmmm...served active duty as an Air Force pilot. He piloted C-130's (but his campaign releases the photo with the jet trainer, so as to appear as a fighter pilot).
So, US Military service, check. This compares favorably to Obama (as well as the other GOP candidates).
He also grew up on a ranch. That's good. Lots of Presidents have had ranches. LBJ, Carter (farm), Reagan, Bush.
