NEW YORK (AP) -- Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner said Tuesday that if Republicans insist on passage of their budget plan as a condition for approving an increase in the nation's borrowing limit, they will be responsible for the consequences.

Speaking to a New York audience, Geithner said that Republicans would bear responsibility for the first debt default in the nation's history if they insist they will not vote for an increase in the $14.3 billion borrowing limit unless they win approval of a House Republican budget plan.

"If Republicans try to impose that plan on this country as a condition for raising the debt limit, then they will own the responsibility for the first default in our history, with devastating consequences," Geithner said in a speech to the Harvard Club of New York.

That’s all right, Tim. The Democrats can solve the problem any time by agreeing to cut spending.

This is ALWAYS the strategy of the leftist banksters.

They run the economy and a country into ruin then say, “Let us continue!!”

When someone objects, their response is always the same, “YOU caused this. If you’d just allowed us to CONTINUE, we’d be fine.”

Eff you, Pinocchio. Your nose is growing every time you open that lipless mouth of yours.

But the country is waking up, and we know the lies you are spewing, and we know that the economy has been ruined because of our socialist banking system embodied in the Federal Reserse.

Tell that sniveling little tax cheat that the main qualification for the next attorney general should be his willingness to put Geitner in jail.

The GOP being responsible for default is like blaming Mom and Dad for not upping the limit on the kid’s credit card.

Mr. G is a liar of the 1st order.

The fault is with those trying to crash the system to equalize our economy with that of the third world, of whom Mr. G is one.

WRONG, WRONG, WRONG, WRONG, WRONG.
It is YOUR responsibility, Mr. Geithner, to see to it that bonds are properly retired as they become due. You have money coming in each day that can be used for this purpose. If you decide to abdicate your first and foremost responsibility as Treasury Secretary, then you will only have yourself to blame.

A patriotic American would never even fathom the idea of purposely not paying off bonds as they become due. Yet Geithner seems to have no qualms about doing exactly that, and for political purposes. These people are treasonous bastards. January 2013 cannot come soon enough. I hope we make it until then.

Attention, Tim Geitner:

We are 2 1/2 years into the Obama Experiment. Unemployment is officially at 9.? percent. Unofficially, it more like 20%. This is after billions upon billions of “stimulus” money spent.

Inflation is not in the 3% range. It is more like 10%. Rising fuel and food prices are eating everyone’s disposable income.

Your policies are driving us off the cliff. NOTHING indicates that your policy is having a positive effect.

IT’S TIME TO CHANGE THE POLICY!!!

He’s just another partisan hack. If we don’t raise the limit, and Timmy decides to pay the NPR and Planned Parenthood subsidy instead of the debt, that’s on him.
