The thread-jacker was Spaulding. It was he who injected birferism with his slur on McCain in #26. Birferism must be bitch slapped upon appearance. It has no place in intelligent discourse.
Your mistake was to defend his position that McCain, who has suffered way more for his country than you or I, had Constitutional problems. That's where the thread jack took off.
