I have never understood how people like this can convince superiors, co-workers, associates, etc., that they are honorable and principled enough to represent their organizations are proficient at their work and are credible... when deep in their heart of hearts and in their very private and personal selves they conduct themselves like savage brutes and are capable of SUCH disgusting, unconscionable and criminal acts.
That this monstrous, personal criminality co-exists comfortably and simultaneously with the persona they front off to the world is something that I can’t comprehend.
There are others just like him. Either they are very crafty in concealing it or we are very stupid to be conned like this.
Personally, and I am a woman, I sort of know who I will never get onto an elevator alone with. This guy would fit the profile.

If DSK was actually innocent of this deed (i.e. he was carefully set up) then I think that those who set him up would have tied it to his known proclivities. And those proclivities are those of the morally unencumbered Left: rapists and abusers of the hired help. As you say: disgusting, unconscionable and criminal acts.
I certainly can’t dismiss a setup. If DSK were a right-wing politican then my ‘Tawana Brawley’ detector would have gone off already. It’s all too convenient.
DSK’s replacement as head of the IMF would almost certainly be John Lipsky.
John Lipsky was the Chief Economist and Director of Research at JPMorgan, as well as the Vice Chairman of JPMorgan Investment Bank.
This sorry episode with DSK is therefore extremely fortuitous for JP Morgan and for the private company known as the Federal Reserve Bank. There’ll be no SDRs with a basket containing a (properly) devalued dollar with Lipsky in control.
Which all means that the private company known as the Federal Reserve Bank will hold onto power for a little longer. Well worth setting up a guy in a hotel room.
For those who believe that being on suicide watch marks this man as being guilty - if the Fed DID set him up, just imagine how much they want him dead, how much they want him to become a forgotten footnote in history. Right now, *suicide watch is his only protection*.
But - whatever. If he didn’t commit this rape he’s still an un-indited fiat statist, a willing part of the machine who have been enslaving the world since 1971. In my eyes he’s as innocent as Lavrenti Beria was under Stalin - and is being disposed of in much the same way.
The leftists are eating their own. Another horrific statist is becoming a slow-motion bullet-riddled corpse in the basement of the Lubyanka. Whatever his fate, there will be a lot of dry eyes here on Free Republic.
Lastly: if DSK *was* setup, then those who set him up may go to jail too. We should be alert to this possibility: it would be a terrific win for the forces of freedom.
If he was set up then putting him on suicide watch is the first step to murdering him in jail.
Probably not, but it makes a great conspiracy theory. LOL
