Talk to me when she gets more than 5% in a national poll.
You may not be aware, but the Republican Party has a nomination process which includes a system of primaries and caucuses and .... long story short, national polls mean nothing currently.
At least she has no documented, consistent history of being a quitter.
No House leadership positions, no significant committee appointments that allow her to use her "Tax Attorney" expertise, no organizational discipline, insufficient attention to detail, fast and loose with facts on the House floor and campaigns. These are the things people will see when they "start to get to know her".
In your anybody but Palin quest it would be helpful if you would get behind someone who is a little more qualified to hold the position.
I live up North and sadly can say, she is not my Congresswoman.
I wish it were so. We need her kind up here badly.
Whatever you say, pothole.
Maybe too green to be elected (name recognition a problem), but not too green to serve. If elected she could/would surround herself with experienced, competent, pro-American, conservative cabinet members and advisors, in stark contrast to the far-left/incompetent cabinet and czars that now burden us.
Oh that’s right, I almost forgot. Civil debate and mutual respect is only in effect for all “non-Palin” members.
born April 6, 1956 in Waterloo, IA (Meets the Jus Soli Requirement)
Parents were
David John Amble, born in MN
Jean Johnson, born in IA
Both parents were US Citizens at the time of her birth (Meets the Jus sanguinis Requirement)
Michele Bachmann is a NATURAL BORN CITIZEN unlike Barry Soetoro aka Barack Hussein Obama.
It is a traditional/historical fact that this early on, Name Recognition is THE primary factor in candidate popularity. (But you knew that)
Good point. I wasn’t aware of Bachmann’s turnover rate in staff.
I don’t understand the need to simply throw weight behind her or anyone simply because the get on TV and say what we like to hear.
With the WoT, the problems with the budget and deficit, the problems at the Treasury, the current and pending problems with the Chinese and Russians, the problem with Latin America turning left, the problem of illegal immigration (I’m stopping there), to insist that a congresswoman or man with limit experience and not executive experience should take the the most powerful chair and can handle it is amazing to me. We have that now and then some.
I don’t dislike her at all, she’s a great mouth piece for the cause and has shown that she can pick apart the liberal mantra, but talk of her as head of the IRS or something. Not president.
I’m not a fan of anyone currently running. I would like a DeMint/Pence like character to emerge, but alas that may not happen.
Quoting a Politico hack from February 2010........
I that the best that you can come up with?
She is what she is. Looking more and more like a back bench bomb thrower and less like a leader.
OK, pothole, readem and weep...

People who live in glass houses should not throw stones....
It's funny how you favor Politico on anybody other than your candidate. But when they say something negative about your candidate, it all “Leftist Hit-Job” propaganda and not even close to valid.
But that's how selective relativity works for those who are in denial.
What and who are you? Some kind of McCainiac or Romneybot?
Anybody that discredits Michele Bachmann has not being a true conservative.....well, we are screwed if this board cant come to the realization that she is the real deal.
IA immediately comes into play in the General Election. If she is solid on cracking down on illegal immigration, then CO/NM/NV is strongly in play as well. Like any other GOP nominee, she will carry the McCain states, inluding NC, IN, and VA without much of a problem.
So the two big questions:
(1) Can she win FL?
(2) Can she win OH?
FL+OH+anyone of (IA, CO, NM, WI, NH, NV,) = Victory
Lose FL but win OH, the GOP could win taking WI, IA, CO, NV, and NM.
Win FL, but lose OH, the GOP could win taking NV, CO, and IA (Forcing a tie) and then winning either NM or ME(2)
Just like Huckabee and Bachmann have a call, I’m fairly certain their will be a call to Palin as well. I don’t believe the women want to compete against each other and one will end up endorsing the other.
Humor, right? Keep your day job.
