North Korean leader Kim Jong-il seems to have gotten back on his feet after his 2008 stroke - or back in his high heels, to be exact.
The communist leader has recently been seen strutting about in 1-inch heels, a shift from the more comfortable shoes he had taken to wearing since he reportedly fell ill in August 2008. The change, as seen in the most recent photo from May 14, has brought observers to believe that the North Korean leader’s health has improved.
Kim had been visibly grayer and thinner in photos from the Korean Central News Agency when he first appeared in public in April 2009 after he had become ill. Medical experts believed at that time that he had lost the use of his left hand, as it was always held stiffly by his side or covered with a glove.
Other effects from his stroke had been difficult to determine through the pictures, but one change had been evident: his footwear. Kim started appearing in photographs for his field guidance trips in flat-soled shoes that resembled sneakers instead of his trademark elevated shoes.

All I can see as I look at his smiling face is that satellite image of the NK camps and the idea that there are at least 200k people working, dying, suffering, starving and taking all sorts of abuse in them, not to mention the average citizen dealing with an oppressive, hopeless life. Laugh it up, Kim, for one day you’ll stand before God in those shoes, and He’s going to be very, very angry.
NK makes me long for the day when He stands up and says enough.
He looks like such a skank in his little red dress.
