Not only does Dominique Strauss-Kahn have to worry about a possible prison sentence, but now he also has reason to be concerned about coming into contact with the HIV/AIDs virus. The alleged victim of the IMF chief's sexual assault lives in a Bronx apartment rented exclusively for adults with HIV or AIDS.
The hotel maid is a West African immigrant, and has occupied the fourth floor of the building with her 15-year-old daughter since January. Before that, she had lived in another apartment since 2008 that was set aside by Harlem Community AIDS United for adults with the virus and their families.
At least one adult in the household must be HIV-positive or have AIDS to qualify for the apartment, and infected children are not eligible. Deductive logic indicates that the woman very likely was infected, although we cannot ascertain this for sure due to medical confidentiality laws.
The woman's lawyer, Jeffrey Shapiro, as well as a close family friend said that she is a widow and lives alone with her daughter...

If the U.S.-born children (under 18) of illegal immigrants are included, they account for one out of six people without insurance.

Women do not know what a powerful weapon they have at their disposal. It is called “teeth.”
An example:
Some idiot tried to rip my purse off sometime back. I bit him on the arm without thought of consequences…I don’t know where on the arm because I was too busy biting. Every time he pulled at my purse, I sank my teeth deeper into his flesh until I could taste blood…(No I didn’t get tested for HIV. A couple of years later I donated blood to my brother. I was then tested for HIV at that time. I was clean…thank goodness.)

If one has to think about being strangled, etc., one is not up to the task for saving oneself. One bites without thinking. Self-preservation takes over everything else.
Had she clamped down with her teeth on that part of his body, he would still be jumping up and down today. She could have gotten away at that point.

Females contract HIV from males but not vice versa unless blood is exchanged. That’s confirmed by the charts.

Her personal HIV status, whatever that is, WAS NOT “leaked”.
What was “leaked” was the nature of the residence where she lived - a building set aside for adults with HIV. The status of that building is public information.
Maybe it’s her 15 year old daughter that has HIV, and for that reason her and her mother were able to live in that building?
At this point who knows? But, at this point the legal security of her personal medical/HIV status/record was not breached.
