IMF accuser in apt. for HIV vics

Dominique Strauss-Kahn may have more to worry about than a possible prison sentence.

The IMF chief's alleged sex-assault victim lives in a Bronx apartment rented exclusively for adults with HIV or AIDS, The Post has learned.

The hotel maid, a West African immigrant, has occupied the fourth-floor High Bridge pad with her 15-year-old daughter since January -- and before that, lived in another Bronx apartment set aside by Harlem Community AIDS United strictly for adults with the virus and their families.

The Post has not been able to ascertain whether the maid, 32, has HIV/AIDS because of medical confidentiality laws.

But the agency rents apartments only for adults with the disease. A Harlem United worker said at least one adult in the household has to be HIV-positive or have AIDS to qualify for one of their units. A healthy adult with a child with HIV or AIDS is not eligible.

"The [current] apartment isn't rented under her name. Harlem [Community AIDS] United places their tenants in our building," explained an employee of the apartment building's property manager, Chaim Gross, of Brooklyn.

The maid had previously lived in another High Bridge apartment rented by Harlem United, a source said. She had moved there with her child in 2008.

According to the agency, it is not uncommon for people with HIV/AIDS to move around.

According to the federal Centers for Disease Control: "It is possible for either partner to become infected with HIV through performing or receiving oral sex."

Has he asked for an HIV test to prove he didn’t do it?

Even if she’s +, it would be difficult for her to pass it on to him, unlike male-to-female transmission. I wonder who sponsored this woman to live in the U.S. knowing she was HIV+ in the first place, or did she contract it here?

I think this is a great example of moral decay having the inevitable effect of financial decay. Once the moral foundation of prosperity is removed, the prosperity collapses. The only possible fix starts not with finance, but with morality. Only then can a true and honest financial solution be devised.

IMHO, this Strauss-Kahn fellow is simply a poster-child of European moral decay - as evidenced by the riduculous reactions in the European media to his case. He is not alone in his depravity.

And the U.S., in it’s moral decay, is right behind Europe; we simply have an advantage because a) the country was founded with a healthy dose of religion caused by an exodus of good Christians from Europe and b) we “clung” to those principles far longer than Europe did.

Bear in mind, no matter what European countries say about their great socialist welfare systems - they would not be possible if Europed had relied SOLELY on their own militaries during the last 60 years. They underspent on their military by, IMHO, over 1/2 the amount that the U.S. HAS SPENT on it’s military during the last 60 years.

In essence, if the DEFENDED THEMSELVES all during the Cold War, they would have extremely small government entitlement programs, and consequently be far more prosperous and politically powerful now. But they relied on America to backstop their national security, so they are, in geo-political terms, a hollow shell, and their only national security plan, in case of a real attack on them, is still based on the telephone - a call to America.

And now that America is morally and financially bankrupt, the clock is ticking on America righting itself.

Karma is a bitch (this time possibly an HIV positive bitch)

I find it hard to understand how this French A-hole could “force” a maid to do anything except leave. But then again he is a known “user” of women so maybe he has over time figured out his lines.

Again, I also find it strange that someone like Al Gore would feel he was entitled to sex with a woman who didn't want to provide it.

Maybe the rich and powerful (also thinking, Bill Clinton, Kennedy's, Spitzer, John Edwards and Arnold S) just feel that normal laws or rule governing sexual conduct, just don't apply to them.

By all accounts she is a serious, good person. She is a widow, so please realize she is the victim here, probably of a marauding African man who brought HIV home to her. Now he’s dead of it and she is trying to raise their child alone. There are a lot of women in Africa who have AIDS this way. The only person they were with was their husband.
