NEW YORK — Dick Cheney has finished his memoir, according to his daughter, and the book is scheduled to come out on Aug. 30.
Liz Cheney said that the former vice president’s manuscript was turned in at the beginning of the month. She said the book, currently being edited, will be “very straightforward,” with “a lot of in-depth analysis of really critically important issues.” Cheney’s memoir, “In My Time: A Personal and Political Memoir,” is being published by Threshold Editions, a conservative imprint of Simon & Schuster run by Republican strategist and former Cheney aide Mary Matalin.

Yep I’ve always thought VP Cheney’s book would be the score settling hide the women and childen and metrosexuals type book. Looking forward to it.
I was just getting hyped about the book when I read in the link that Cheney has end stage heart failure. I’m guessing it’s a VAD they put in his heart, which isn’t a good sign. If it’s a BIVAD he doesn’t have a pulse now either.
I think a better title would be “Lick Me”.
Bush really disappointed me with his pandering to the libs and the moderates by throwing Scooter Libby under the bus — and throwing Rummy under the bus — etc.
Cheney was the only true conservative on that ticket. With his heart problems, I suspect he lets W have it a bit, and W will deserve it.
I am reading Bush’s book and would like to read Rummy’s next. You have to hand to Rummy he’s gone on alot of unfrieddly media places like MSNBC & David Letterman to talk of his book.

I can’t wait either. I’ve read no other GWB era memoirs except for “Decision Points.” I’m only interested in Dubya’s and Dick Cheney’s books. Then maybe later I might pick up Rummy’s and others.
Rummy’s is actually very good, and very well written.
Cheney got an LVAD last July. At the time it was reported he’d have no pulse.
