I guess multiple elements of he MSM thought they were going to get a quid-pro-quo from the Obama once he was elected. By not doing the traditional job of the fourth estate, thoroughly vetting political candidates, they expected favors later.

Again, a case where the medial ignored history even when history slapped them in the face. It was less than a decade ago that CNN admitted that they knew what was going inside Sadam’s Iraq but elected not to report it so they could maintain a presence in Iraq.
