Its legal to own “assault weapons” and body armor in most all states. You just can’t use them in the commission of a felony. Meaning you can’t go knocking over liquor stores while wearing body armor.

LOL...I'm pretty sure that committing a felony is illegal whether you are wearing body armor or not! (sorry, couldn't resist) But yes, that's pretty much what I was getting at. None of the stuff that was apparently on the warrant would be illegal to own and it also sounds like none of the stuff was specifically listed as having been used in a criminal act which is currently under investigation. If that is the case then I have no idea why a warrant would even be issued. If the cops can get a warrant just to check and see if you own weapons then that's news to me....and pretty doggone scary.
