Can someone please explain the significance of this?
IT'S A FRICKIN' RAT!
Like there aren't already a gazillion species of rats roaming the planet. I'm not exactly all worked up about one that was thought extinct being rediscovered.
It means the rat has been able to take care of itself for over a century and survive without the intervention of enviro-mental whackjobs who think they know better. Now that it is seen, they can use it to get millions in grant [read FREE] money to 'protect' it, a job that it has been doing by itself, and apparently quite well. If they really wanted to 'protect' it, they would capture a mating pair, breed them and sell them as 'enviro-pets'. Soon they would have millions of these animals all across the world, and a whole lotta dough in their pockets that wasn't taken from taxpayers at gunpoint................
It proves that educated scientists that proclaim absolutes, are idiots.
You can extrapolate this stuff to any science article.
//sarcasm off
In reality, it just proves that we don’t know s$%t.
