Yep - Florida's higher property taxes, as well as those insurance costs, are what have ruled out future relocation to that state.

It amazes me that California is actually lower than Florida in the tax department. But once Jerry Brown figures out how to kill off Prop 13 caps, that'll end...

To be fair, Scott wants lower taxes (hopefully, he’ll get it done) and we have no income tax. Florida is a excellent place to relocate to. The beaches alone make it worth it!
