150-175 pounds. He is skinny with no big round belly and short thick neck.

I have no clue...seeing bears in Mississippi is uncommon...they tend to live in deep swamps where few folks go..it looks rangy

animal rights activists often clamour they are all gone...they will often claim only 50-100 bears left in the state at most which is such BS

they say the same about panthers...they get proven wrong on that too

I have no clue how many there are...less than Indian days no doubt but still a fair number...Mississippi is very sparsely populated compared to say Middle TN where I now live but even here they find bears in parts of the state they swore had none...I saw one hit by a car 75 miles west of where they swore up and down was bear’s limit of habitat

bears are not quite up to coyote adaptive skills but they can coexist with humans
