Well, then, there's another issue then and that would be the integrity of the priests responding to the surveys.
Just why would they lie and say that they're gay if they're not? Even considering that I could not even imagine someone who was not homosexual claiming that they were, they'd have to realize how that would reflect on the Church if they claimed it.
So the choices are that either the priests really are homosexual at the rate which they are reporting or they are liars at the rate at which they're reporting being homosexual.
Not a good scenario either way.
