Effective range with factory loads is only 25 ft. on a large target, like a tree rat. I load 17 grains, same as factory. The problem is sealing the wad in the bore. I now use a much wetter (silicone-soaked) plug and that has seemed to improve things. I won't know until I can chrono it.
