What’s the problem with Herman Cain?
It's real hard to get elected POTUS. Even harder when POTUS is your entry level political position.

I guess you didn’t read the rest of the Wall Street Journal article. Did he explain all of that away as well? Actions speak just as loud as words and T-Paw’s actions scream RINO. No thanks.

That WSJ article should be required reading for anyone who posts about what a swell conservative T-paw is.

Thanks.

I just checked and yes, Rush’s site contains the entire interview including the explanation of that ‘era of small business is over’ comment. It was not the opinion of Pawlenty.

Those of us who rush to repeat the attacks on our potential candidates without thorough investigation are aiding and abetting those who work for the destruction of this country.

Pawlenty needs cash to convince the gullible that he isn’t a RINO.

I did read the article at your suggestion and will need to do a lot more investigating to determine the validity of all the information in it.

However, when the first sentence in an article erroneously attributes an out-of-context comment to Pawlenty as that writer did, is it unreasonable to think he may have been leaning in a particular direction (not right)?

Since the article that begins this stream is from the New Republic, and the only thing it accuses Pawlenty of is not being able to raise money (since he DID declare yesterday, and anyone knows that 24 hours should be enough time to accumulate a gigantic warchest) -

Strikes me as a pretty pathetic attack on the man. I hope they have better stuff to throw at him than that.

Boring is good - I’m sure the careful, slow way that Ronald Reagan chose his words put many people to sleep also.

I know you want to believe that he is conservative so you will believe anything Pawlenty says. I know of his lib greenie past. The same one he apologizes for now. You say he explained the small govt. statement on Rush. Is it, like the apology, a statement made because he’s running or because he actually believes it? How will we ever know? He has Mitt’s problem. How can you trust he’s not just saying things just to get himself elected?

There is nothing conservative about that. None of the real conservatives running have this problem. Cain, Palin, Bachmann don’t change their views right before running for office. I’m tired of these wolf in sheep’s clothing candidates. I’m tired of the establishment digging up these lesser known RINOs so they can hide or apologize their RINO behaviors away. You can vote for any RINO you please. It’s a free country. But I’m sticking with conservatives.

Thanks for posting this. I was looking for it.

These RINOs can run but they can’t hide their past.

I agree, a true conservative is who we want to vote for, but is it better to stay home than to vote for someone who runs as, but may not be, a conservative? And that begs another questions, do we really want to take all 3 branches, knowing that we cannot correct all the messes Zero leaves behind, in one term?

I don’t know the answer, I only know that we can’t let the dems select our candidate for us (AGAIN!), and I tend to believe the dems will attack those who scare them the most.

If there is a politician out there who has not changed his position on something during his political career, I have yet to hear of him/her.

This is why I read many blogs and as many opinions as I can, like yours. IS there a perfect candidate?

I did not say he was a good choice. I said so far he is the only choice and not a good one! Believe me I am still hoping for a true conservative. But Pawlenty isn't a flat out progressive

I’ve never stayed home in my life, but I have refused to vote for a candidate because he was a RINO (Charlie Crist). I will never knowingly vote for a RINO again. Whether you get there fast (dem) or slow (RINO), you’re still going in the wrong direction. We can’t afford just to put on the brakes, we’re going off the edge of a cliff and we need to go in the opposite direction.

I’m not concerned about finding the perfect candidate. I just want to support the conservative ones. I’ve already mentioned three. There are others like Allen West and Jim DeMint, but they are not running. We need to concentrate on choosing conservatives. We don’t have time to waste on RINOs.

You really should read the WSJ article posted above.

It’s a good reminder of why no-one wanted Pawlenty as McCain’s VP pick.

T-paw is no conservative.

The Federal Reserve is UNConstitutional and has since its creation successfully reduced the value of the US Dollar by 98.5% and was the cause of all but 1 of the recessions since then.

And just like Ron Paul, Herman Cain believes that the Federal Reserve should be audited. Cain should know since he was on the board of a branch of one of the regional reserve banks, not the Federal Reserve itself. Cain supports Ron Paul’s efforts to audit Thee FED. But he’s not a loon like Ron Paul.

I think that makes Cain an excellent candidate.

Mitt Romney seems to have all the money (who the heck is giving?)

Prolly George Soros. Get a milquetoast nominated who won't get anyone excited enough to come out to vote against The Won.
