I’m a hardened NYer who knows a rough and tough crime-ridden city when she sees one and lives in one. My family have been policemen all the way back to the mid-19th century and I’ve heard all the stories. I have navigated these mean streets for over 30 years - as have my best friends (some of whom were raped in elevators and walk-up apartments) and believe me, I’ve seen it all.
