China To Face Worst-Ever Power Shortage This Summer
BEIJING (Nikkei)--State Grid Corp. of China said Monday that the nation's electricity supply may fall short of demand by a record 40 million kilowatts in the summer, the equivalent of 40 nuclear reactors.
And many firms, including Japanese companies, have already started running into problems.
In China, more than 70% of electric power is generated by coal-fired plants. Utilities are holding down output because the government is reluctant to raise rates as coal prices rise. The nation's worst power shortage so far took place in 2004, with demand exceeding supply by 35 million kilowatts.
At least 10 Chinese provinces and directly controlled municipalities -- including Zhejiang, Jiangsu and Guangdong provinces, where manufacturing is robust -- are expected to face severe power shortages.

Well, folks, stay out of Beijing and Tokyo this summer if you can. Both place would face power shortage, and it would be hot and "sweaty."

They will turn off power to the peasants first, of course.

If Ka-Ka-lafornia goes ahead with their plans to force “Green” development/energy on business, while also destroying hydro dams, they may fare worse than the Chinese.

What a GREAT time for some enterprising Special Forces team to sabotage the Three Gorges Dam.
...if we had a loyal Natural-Born Alaska/Arizona citizen in the White House, that is.
(So sorry! Sub-standard workmanship and materials, comrade.)
Cheers!

I don't have problem with Kalifornia depopulating itself. It means loss of its political clout. That is what many blue states are doing: implementing policies to depopulate themselves. Their political clout will become insignificant and we will have new wildlife refuges all over ex-blue states:-)

I’m sure the millions of innocent that are harmed or killed by that , probably won’t mind.

From what I have read about Three Gorges, it won’t need any outside saboteurs to break it. You were right about the substandard workmanship and materials.

It's the Chicoms fault -- it'll probably break all on its own anyway.
Read up on the problems with it.
NO cheers, unfortunately.

California is not depopulating itself. Due to immigration and birth rates their population is growing. Unfortunately the productive class of California is depopulating. And fleeing!
