This story is getting more and more convoluted.
She may have been attacked, but she does not need to embellish her story. It makes her look bad.

I have been very suspicious of this whole story from the beginning. I can’t help wondering if this guy — jerk that he is — got set up.
But why? Perhaps he refused to go along with the Obama/Soros plan to bring down the West. I notice that he replacement at the IMF is an American.

Finally they got a manager and police were notified and imagine this, the dumb police, nowhere near as smart as QClinton on FreeRepublic, went right out to the airport and pulled this jerk off the plane, they shoulda called you first.

They are not bound to silence as, say, would be the police or prosecutors. Anybody think these types ain’t gonna talke when one of their own was so violently attacked, I gotta bridge to sell. I suppose they all could be lying and yet, silly me, they all tell the same story.

No my argument is we don’t know enough to judge one way or the other right now. And apparently most on FR are ready to convict him for having an insatiable sex drive and being a socialist. While both are distasteful neither are illegal.
Until we get all the facts from both sides then we truly can’t even guess what happened.

Resistance, even with nails, is both expected and harmless. DSK probably loves the struggle. She got away only when she risked a more serious damage by pushing the assailant into a sharp corner of the furniture.
Of course every armchair tactician would tell you that you should use plenty of force and as early in the fight as possible - this is easier on everyone. Perhaps a man could resist in such a way - not every man, though, and perhaps not even one in ten men. The ratio of fighters vs. fleers is even lower among women, for reasons that are quite obvious. This maid was in the "flee" mode all along, and she only fought to the extent that she thought was sufficient for her to escape. A fighter would go for a disabling move. A single straight finger would go far, if aimed into the eye; even a small woman can do it, technically. But not psychologically; such a move probably never even occurred to the maid. Besides, she probably had no clue what the police would do to her if she kills the rapist. She would be right about some of that, actually - if she injures DSK but not kills him, she'd be as good as dead. DSK had enough power to issue a contract on her, and would have enough spite to do it.

Rape is the easiest way for a woman to get revenge on a man. Everyone wants to believe them. and once arrested the man is done. He will lose his job, his savings, and be branded a rapist even after found not guilty.
Rape clearly is awful when it occurs, but it's just as awful when a man is falsely accused.
