Given the current field, Cain is my pick. I expect it will change as more enter.

I don’t think the country is ready for a third black president though.

The GOP establishment will have to get behind Cain. They're too filled with white guilt not to. Cain is in the cat bird's seat. He knows it, and they know it. For him to be polling this well this early has to scare them to death.

An affirmative action conservative--it's a beautiful thing.

BS! Cain resonates with the grass roots. He may well get the nomination, which would be interesting: Black against black - a true show of party politics!

I agree. "Right of return" is a fiction and not an American issue in any case. Not our problem to begin with. Cain is helped by the fact that probably fewer than one in ten Americans at large have any idea what the term means either.

Not really. This poll is about voting in the primary after all. There are several candidates I would "never vote for" in the primary but would hold my nose for in the general.

The Cain train is picking up speed!!!

Let's see how that's going...

1. When he announced over the weekend he said we need to read the Constitution and in the next breath quoted the wrong founding document! Video here

2. Admitted Monday on Hannity what was obvious, he had no clue what the Palestinian "Right of Return" was about when Chris Wallace asked.

3. In March had said no Muslim could serve in his cabinet, applying a religious test in violation of the Constitution. He backed off later.

He's not even close for primetime and should get out of the running quickly before he embarrasses himself and Republicans further.

Nominating Cain would be a gift to Obama. A gift of FOUR MORE YEARS.

The man has no name id, it is a very, very long shot that he will ever hit 20% in the polls.

Funny thing, back in 2006 and even later, a lot of folks were crowning Hillary Queen and saying Barack who? After 2008 NOTHING is impossible in American politics.

Bingo.

Yes, it would be interesting. Obama would still get 90 plus percent of the black vote, which would likely translate into a loss for Republicans in a big way.

IMO, like it or not we have the first black president and while his color means nothing to me, the man has been a complete disaster. Trying to get elected as the second black president is going to be a tall order indeed.

I think we need to go with what is proven to work as we simply can’t afford to take the chance with an experiment and risk four more years of the first Marxist president.

It’s still very early so we just need to support everyone and see how it shakes out.

HOWEVER his father George was NOT and shouldn't have run for President in 1968.

Actually, George was born in Mexico but NEVER a Mexican citizen. His parents were both Americans, he inherited that citizenship and Mexico had banned jus soli citizenship to prevent American settlers from bearing Mexican citizen babies. George Romney was never a Mexican citizen, only an American one.

“Oh, I know. They don’t realize he’s black. “

What? This is the first I’ve heard of this. Are you sure???

Now that’s a horse of a different color...so to speak...

CAIN 2012!

Wrong, clintoon was governor of Arkansas, reelection bid and then won the next term, if you paid attention to politics at the time you knew who he was. Same with Herman, he has been on 750 am in Atlanta for sometime.

CORRECTION!

Both of George Romney's parents were US Citizens at the time of GEORGE'S birth in Mexico.

George was a US Citizen, but not a Natural Born Citizen and shouldn't have run for President in 1968.

Willard was born in the US of two US citizen parents and is a Natural Born Citizen.

Cafepress.com has lots of Cain items. They aren’t official, though.

“Both of George Romney’s parents were US Citizens at the time of GEORGE’S birth in Mexico.”

That does not sound right to me.

Both parents American Citizens = Natural Born Citizen.

In 2004 I believe it was, I signed up with Zogby as a Democrat from New Hampshire, and proceeded to answer every Internet “poll” as the rock-ribbed conservative that I am, and I know that others did the same (especially liberal Democrats who pretended to be Republicans). So even when Zogby weighs the responses so that the sample is X% Democrat, etc., it still is a phony result. Zogby Interactive is as unscientific as it gets.
