I have read Freep for a long time as an antidote for the watery, sociallist bile they call news here, but have never had the time to get actively involved and posting until recently.

I don’t see anything wrong with your post. I cringe at how this fool ignores protocol and continues to make the US a laughingstock.
Your post seemed alright, other than the crack about American boorishness. However, I’ve lived in the UK and on the Continent and I’ve seen the odd behaviors of the peculiar natives so I didn’t take your rudeness personaly.
